Wondering What He is Thinking.....
Looking forward to sharing wilderness stories with you that inspire me in the designs of the paddles. Gathering them together now.
The Original Travel Cup
There were a couple of small stunted pine trees in the yard that needed to be removed because of construction. So, rather than let the stumps go into the chipper, I dug them up , washed them with a garden hose, and took them into the workshop-I knew the wood would work for "something." A couple of months later I carved a couple of canoe cups. Canoe cups were used by French voyagers (in the fur trade) to get a quick drink of water without stopping paddling.
